Raavan is a gud movie but not a HIT movie. Story goes at the speed of an ant. Screenplay is similar to the way the ant walks. It stops, then takes a U turn, then bulbs and then finally finds its path :P.
This is not ramayana people.. not at all ramayana.
Mani used the characters from ramayana and wrote his own script. There are few similarities to ramayana, thats all.

Govinda(Hanuman)
Based on thr charactersitcs the script Raavan was made.
Plot :
Raavan has a reason of why he kidnaps seetha and this seetha is too energetic and wild. Raavan's sis(priyamani) gets raped by a bunch of police people headed by Vikram. Raavan takes revenge by kidnapping seetha. Unlike ramayana, raavan is too good in this movie. Kind hearted and good at nature. People treat him as robinhood. Raavan likes seetha and packs her saying u are goddess and i m a villain from inside. Finally vikram gets an idea and uses seetha in order to reach Raavan and ends him.
Vikram's worst performance I can say. Not a potential role on screen and on paper.
The movie will run just because of Abhishek. One of the best performances and defined how RAAVAN looks like. Scary, cruel, rude and also tried to show that he is sensitive .
Govinda's role is pretty small. Looks like he was just put in order to give us a feel of Hanuman's character. Funny and energetic.
Whats wrong with priyamani? I think she likes all this "Getting Raped" roles. She gets raped by a bunch of people
in "Paruthi Veeran" and in this movie a bunch of policemen. Same expression from "Paruthi Veeran". Rape specialist I can say.
Cinematography is Rachoo Racha Rakhsitaha . Too good. Risky shots, beautiful settings and awesome presentation.
Background score is another plus point and looks like Mani was too lazy to make a good script and must have thought
"Macha Rahman, nalla background score kudumu. I am banking on u. Script is cup maax".
Over all. Its too slow. Watch if for Abhishek and for beautiful presentation.
Or else.take lite and wait for Moserbear DVD.

Go(o)dFATHER
Wanna be a Hero? and u think u can make it just because u dance well, talk well and look well.
Wake up brothers , it ain't that easy unless and untill u have a godfather.
Godfather is not the mario puzo walah DON guy. Godfather in simple term means "conties" (IITM LINGO means Contacts).
What exactly does contie mean ? This is a bounded limit.
If ur father/mother is/was a hero/heroine or is/was a director falls under this category . Tricky rite. Such is life.
If ur contact is present in one of the above mentioned tree then it is very easy to traverse the path and become what ever u want to, else it will take a life time to reach ur goal.
Did u ever wonder or think of how tollywood really started?
ANR and late NTR were two strong pillars who really had no background. They were true actors and acting was thr passion. Money was just a rectangle piece of paper which was needed for proper living. Nothing more than that. They had no ego problems and truly respected each other from bottom of their hearts. Poor chaps would never even thought that this(acting) was thr biggest mistake of the life.
First generation : NTR and ANR gave us wonderfull movies. Acting together was never a big problem for them, because they loved acting.
Second generation : Chiranjeevi, Rajnikanth, Mohan babu, Shoban babu , Krishna are the other set of actors who really had no support, faced 'N' problems to get a chance to perform in front of the camera. Rajnikanth was a bus conductor and chiranjeevi was an ordinary graduate whose father was a constable. Now just imagine how tough it would have been for a bus conductor and for a constable's son to get a chance to act. Lucky bastards are now the biggest stars.
Shoban Babu was born in a middle class family and was well educated who later became the romantic icon.
Guess what Mohan babu did before he became an actor? He was a PT teacher ,yeah a Physical trainee at some lol School in chennai. He later on became the "Collection King". This chap really has talent.
Krishna was then the stylish star. He is a down to earth person and made movies at rocket speed and all of them were HIT.
Wondering Where Kamal hasan is ? He is not at all a poor chap. Kamal Hasan's father was a lawyer and his brother(Charu hasan) is a stud actor who has own national award . Kamal acted as a child artist at the age of 4.
NTR an ANR made another big mistake. They got married and made kids.
ANR's was a small mistake when compared to NTR's.
ANR just gave us another ANR(Akkineni Nagarjuna Rao), whereas
NTR gave us Jayakrishna, Sai krishna, Harikrishna, Mohan Krishna, Balakrishna, Ramakrishna, and Jayashankar Krishna. He did not stop there . He also made 4 daughters . Out of his seven sons Balakrishna turned out be an actor. Harikrishna did try his luck but got fcked at the box-office. (Werent condoms avaialable?)
Dr. D. Ramanaidu gave us Vekatesh Babu who has never pained audience with his acting and even though his dancing sucks, he is called Victory venki .

Manchu Vishnu and Manchu Manoj : Did mohan babu fck a donkey and a buffalo. Becuase his kids resemble them. Now they are the uggliest looking guys on earth. Still managed to get couple of hits out of some N movies they made.
Looking at all this makes me conclude that : No matter how worst u look, No matter how lol ur voice is, No matter if u can act or not, U can be a star if u have a god father.

Lets talk about allu arjun . When gangothri realeased in 2003 , people said "Kojja laaga vunnadu veedu". Facial surgeries here and ther made him look like a man, oops. like a human being.
Sumanth(Godfather : ANR and nagarjuna) Here is another useless actor from Akkineni's family. Debut movie was directed by RGV. Now this is high funda GODFATHER ship. Which debutant gets such a great director on his first movie?.
Sushanth(Godfather : nagarjuna) : I dont even want to talk about this guy.
Maheshbabu (Godfather : Krishna ) : Veediki antha intha balupu kaadu . Not seen since 2 and half years. The most egoistic hero till date.This guy really needs no godfather. Has tons of tallent in him. But lazy to act. God save him.
Prabhas(Godfather : Krishamraju). : Irrespective of movie , irrespective of character, he does "Bujjigadu" in it.
Jr.NTR( Godfather : Balakrishna) : From the NTR family. Has immense energy but keeps licking his late Grandpa.
So u see my point. Godfather zindabad, audience murdabad.

If you are in hyd, visit the areas like Filmnagar, Annapurna and ramanaidu studios. You get to see hundreds of people waiting to meet stars, producers , directors or some guy to just get a break. Because for them movie is life and acting is passion. Unlike the above mentioned heros who were born in a family where the father/mother is/was a hero/heroine or is/was a director.
We are forced to watch to these actors. If NTR and ANR did not become actors and if they turned out to be some lawyer or doctor we would have been saved from this crap. Now you see why I mentioned "Poor chaps would never even thought that this(acting) was thr biggest mistake of the life."
If NTR used condomn and followed the saying "hum do hamare do" we would have been saved from NBK.
If mohan babu remained as Physical trainee in tamilnadu manchu manoj, vishnu and slutty daughter(Lakshmi Prasanna) would have got some jobs is saravana bhawan as waiters and would have lead a happy gult family life.
If chiru turned out to be Police like his father we would have been saved from Allu arjun and RC Teja.
Then I guess we would have seen lot of new faces , many actors with no backgrounds who are true actors from inside .

VEDAM .. Awesome..
Vedam is SUPER DUPER HIT. Story, Screenplay, Music are awesome.
Each and every artist in the movie gave thr best and the every dialogue is new and well written.
Allu arjun might get NANDI award or atleast FILMFARE for sure. I got so involved into the movie that I came running back to home to just share my views.
If jeevi(idlebrain.com) gives rating less than 3.5 then he is a jack ass.
Who said Multi-Starrer movies wont work in Tollywood?. Manchu Manoj and Allu Arjun were awesome on the screen. Manoj Bajpai and the old person(Naaggayya) characters were well scripted. My god, I never knew anushka could do such a role. She was called as arundhati till yesterday and from today she will be called SAROJA. She was much better than TABU from Chandini Bar or Kareena from Chameli.
I am not gonna reveal the story nor the climax. First half racha.. Second half rachooo rachaa.. Climax is god level.
Its not a new script, but the way KRISH(director) has presented was really good. It was fresh .
M.M.Keeravani and S.S.Rajamouli came with thr families. Cimax is heart touching and thr is not one guy who will come out of the theatre thinking about it.
M.M.Keeravani who is the music director of the movie could not control his tears.
Rite after the movie, I could hear applause from the audience for about 2 mins.
Allu arjun is gawd. His acting skills are gawd level.
Manchu Manoju is really the rocking star.
Anushka is superb.
From now on we might/will have multi-starer movies. KRISH will be on the list of top-directors.
I gotta rush to prasadz again. Raajneeti at 12.45 PM.
